It was an extremely busy year for Bowman Development and the Bowman Group. We’ve completed numerous projects in the Washington County area. We are thankful for our employees, customers, tenants, vendors, contractors and community who allowed us to have a successful year and we can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store.

A look back at some of this year’s projects:

Newgate Expansion

The original 360,000 SF Newgate building was completed in 1999. Everything in white was an expansion that was finished in 2019. We added two phases totaling 504,200 SF which are fully leased. We are currently adding on Phase IV which will add yet another 162,800 SF and is expected to be completed in May of 2020.

D.M. Bowman Inc. Terminal Expansion

We added on to the D.M. Bowman Inc. terminal to create additional maintenance space for shop employees. Part of this expansion was creating room to install a state of the art truck wash bay and includes new technology for truck alignments.

70/81 Truck Parking

Bowman Development completed the 70/81 Truck Parking Lot which is a new business venture for the Bowman Group. With new laws and regulations in place for the amount of time drivers can be on the road, this lot offers safe and secure parking for trucks. Truckers have access to all of Pilot’s amenities (gas, convenience, wifi, showers etc.) and convenient access to I-81 Exit 5.

Williamsport Pharmacy

We purchased, renovated and turned over a beautiful building to be used by the Williamsport Pharmacy. This was a great property reuse that benefits both the business and the Town of Williamsport.

CNB Bank

Bowman Development purchased the building at 1625 Dual Highway Hagerstown, MD and leased to CNB Bank, providing them with another strategic location.

Bowman Hospitality

Home2 Suites

Bowman Hospitality officially took occupancy of the third hotel built by Bowman Development. The Home2 Suites by Hilton opened at 1661 Pullman Lane Hagerstown, MD at the Bowman Hospitality Campus. This hotel features 105 suites with modern accommodations. Each room includes a fully equipped kitchen, modular furniture and prides itself in being pet friendly. The Bowman Hospitality Campus now includes four hotels and five restaurants with open pad sites available.

Hotel Performance Improvement Plans

Renovations took place at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and The Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotel throughout the year.

Urban Educational Campus

The Urban Educational Campus to house the students from Barbara Ingram School for the Arts made great progress this year. This project is set to be completed in 2020.
